Where New Jersey Car Insurance Costs the Most (Infographic)
The average driver may not know it, but where you live could greatly affect how much you end up paying for car insurance. To prove that point, OnlineAutoInsurance.com used government-provided data to see how much auto insurance prices vary across different parts of New Jersey. We averaged quote data from five different driver profiles for each of the state's 49 rating territories. The analysis showed a $1,230 spread between the most-expensive territory (Newark) and the least-expensive territory (Hillsborough). Check out the infographic below for a map showing which parts of New Jersey tended to have higher prices, a list of the top 10 most- and least-expensive territories, and graphs correlating socioeconomic characteristics with average auto insurance quote sizes.
