Eyes on the Road: Texting While Driving in America (Infographic)

What could cost you up to $10,000 in fines, land you in prison for a year, make you drive without looking at the road for the length of a football field, and increase your insurance rates by 10 percent in some cases? Reading and sending a text message while driving.

Texting while driving has become an epidemic in America that has led 39 states and the District of Columbia to ban all drivers from engaging in the practice. Check out our "Eyes on the Road" infographic below to get the breakdown on how many states ban texting from behind the wheel, what the harshest and weakest fines are, and other details.
