AAA Car Insurance Information, Rates, and Reviews
Established in 1902, the Automobile Association of America, or AAA, is a not-for-profit group of associated motor clubs that pays its taxes in full. We have over 58 million members in America and Canada. We are known for our roadside assistance services and for being pioneers in establishing driver safety programs. Our first school safety patrol program was introduced in 1920.
In 1947, we established the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety. We have maintained our interest in traffic safety over the years. We were named the administration's number one traffic safety partner by the U.S. Transportation Department in 1998.
AAA is also one of the largest auto insurance providers in the world. We provide insurance coverage to members, including AAA auto insurance, homeowners, life, health, and other financial services. The auto insurance we provide complies with the coverage limits legally permitted in each state.
AAA has been in the insurance business for over 100 years and is financially stable. The A. M. Best rating organization gave AAA Auto Insurance an A+ (superior) rating. You can depend on us to meet the financial demands of your claims.
Our service is always well-rated by our customers, who appreciate our easy claims process and AAA roadside assistance.
If you need assistance, you can call our national toll-free number. Your vehicle will be towed to a vehicle repair shop on our preferred provider list. Our staff will also call a family member for you, and complete a vehicle claim.
We also provide our members extra compensation when they are in an accident more than 100 miles from their homes. This is meant to cover the costs of a rental car, hotel room or other accommodation until they can continue on their trip.
We also have a convenient mobile application, which can help you provide digital proof of insurance if you are pulled over or are involved in an accident. You can also use it to complete our insurance payment or get an insurance quote in some states.
We provide you with a fast, hassle-free 24/7 claims processing service, which helps complete claims within a day.
Given that AAA insurance is part of the Auto Club, certain perks that might cost you extra money, such as roadside assistance, are included with every package. Besides these, we have multiple coverage options, such as collision and bodily injury, medical, personal injury, property damage, comprehensive, liability and underinsured motorist.
In some select locations, we also offer options such as gap insurance, rental car coverage, non-owners' insurance, pet coverage, and accident forgiveness.
Discounts and Special Benefits
We usually offer insurance coverage to AAA Auto Club members. However, for a relatively inexpensive membership fee, we give you a discount on your policy. We also offer you special benefits, such as roadside assistance, and negotiate discounts on your behalf with many businesses. Also, we provide you travel accident insurance if you purchase your trip through AAA.
Our auto clubs provide several types of insurance, including auto, homeowners and life, among others. The discounts, benefits, and coverage options they offer may vary because they are independently run. These include discounts for safe driving, good student, low mileage, advance purchase, paid in full, purchasing coverage for multiple vehicles, and bundling multiple policy types.
You can contact your local AAA office or our customer service number to check what's available in your area.
Most of AAA auto clubs operate insurance agencies and underwrite policies. Others offer insurance products from firms specifically owned and operated for members. In such cases, you will still receive discounts for being a AAA member.
